Colors have great power. They are evocative. They comfort. Convey. Zanet, through his paintings, look for a way to amplify their ability to communicate positivity, happiness. He studies a system to distill harmony from chaos, to find a meaning, a balance, a compositive effectiveness, despite not having the certainty of fully reaching it. His relationship with painting is truly intimate, his art practice is a way of being in the world, a continuous attempt to understand it.

Piero Chiariello, curator of the exhibition.

Simone Bubbico approches the research on the light-shadow, man-nature dualism to technology: thin wildflowers grow on Venus de Milo, emblem of classical culture, as well as on the studies for sculptural models, custodian of ideal beauty. But it’s nature, in its more hostile manifestation, to draw our attention from a long time. Now it’s among us to recover its spaces. And yet, in the In bloom series, it still shows kindness: it’s elegant, capable of induce a subtle reflection; it’s light but also darkness and, in a game of fantastic illusions, refers to dreams survived to distruction.

Federica Lavarini, curator of the exhibition.

Mazzacana Gallery presents the ten digital artworks created by Piero Chiariello for the exhibition Wallpapers for your phone #6, curated by Federica Lavarini. The artworks will be free to download starting at 6:30 PM (CEST) on September 11th 2021, and they will become available upon payment at the end of the event – October 11th 2021 – or after 500 copies downloaded.

“Maximum complexity and maximum simplicity correspond” as Piero Chiariello says, for this reason in Pulvis he employs an everyday, anonymous and sometimes insidious element: atmospheric dust. It has existed for millennia, reveals the presence of light, absorbs environmental cues, arranges itself according to precise laws and, at the same time, refers to vagueness and chance. Pulvis is the dust which, undisturbed, has deposited for months on the surface of various materials and returns an imaginary landscape of what happened during our absence and without our action.

Federica Lavarini, curator of the exhibition.
